Car Rental at Lempuyangan Station

If your train stops at Lempuyangan instead of Tugu, do not worry — the two stations are only 1 km apart. Lempuyangan handles economy and some business class trains from Jakarta, Semarang, and Surabaya. It is located on Jl. Lempuyangan, about 8-10 minutes by car east of Malioboro.

The difference from Tugu Station: Lempuyangan is much busier, especially during Eid and long holiday weekends. Ride-hailing and taxi queues can stretch quite far, and the area in front of the station is cramped.
