Gamplong Natural Studio

Film Location & Weaving Education Tourism

Have you seen the movie "Sultan Agung"? The film set still stands at Gamplong Natural Studio, and you can walk in and take photos to your heart's content. Traditional Javanese houses, an old-world market, even a royal gate — all still intact and incredibly photogenic.

But what most visitors miss: Gamplong is originally a weaving village. Local women still weave on traditional looms, and you can watch the process or even try it yourself. Handwoven cloth starts at IDR 50,000 — a far more meaningful souvenir than an "I Love Jogja" t-shirt.
