Nglinggo Tea Garden

Tea Plantation in Kulon Progo Hills

15 degrees Celsius, thin mist, and green tea fields stretching in every direction — this is not Puncak in West Java, this is Nglinggo Tea Garden in the Kulon Progo highlands, 40 km west of Jogja. The perfect escape when Jogja's heat becomes unbearable.

The most magical part: sunrise here. The sun rises from behind the hills, illuminating dew-wet tea fields, and mist slowly lifts away. Free entry. No tickets, no queues. Just you, tea, and tranquility. Afterward, stop at a local home selling fresh tea picked from their own garden — IDR 10,000-20,000 per pack.
