Geblek Pari
Signature Cuisine amidst Kulon Progo Rice Fields
What is geblek? A Kulon Progo specialty made from cassava starch — crispy on the outside, chewy inside, eaten with sambal and traditional sides. You will not find it in Jogja city. You have to visit Geblek Pari to discover a food that even many Jogja locals have never tried.
The spot is in the middle of rice fields with the Menoreh mountains as backdrop — sit on mats in wooden huts, eat hot geblek while enjoying the paddy breeze. This is not a mainstream tourist attraction — it is a local eatery that happens to have an extraordinary view. Food prices IDR 15,000-30,000/portion.

Travel Tips
Order hot fried geblek and do not skip the signature sambal — it is what elevates the geblek. Large portions only IDR 15,000-30,000 including side dishes
Ask to sit in the hut facing rice fields and Menoreh mountains — food tastes different with a good view. Come at midday when there is still fresh geblek from the first frying batch
