Temple

Prambanan Temple

Indonesia's largest Hindu temple — UNESCO Heritage

If Borobudur is about serenity, Prambanan Temple is about grandeur. Picture this: the 47-meter Shiva Temple towering before you, while behind it Jogja's evening sky turns golden orange. That is the moment our guests go quiet, forgetting to even hold their phones.

Only 17 km from the city center — 30 minutes when traffic is clear, so no need for a pre-dawn wake-up like Borobudur. In fact, arriving in the afternoon is better. And if you're lucky enough to catch the Ramayana Ballet schedule (May-October), prepare yourself for an open-air dance performance with the illuminated temple as backdrop. Honestly, it is one of the most spectacular shows we have ever seen.
